A lovely, surprise session this evening. When I got home I was greeted by a 14 knot SW wind, so went straight out for a sail.

It was really warm, and the sun was shining, so I thought I'd give it a go even though it looked as though there wasn;t quite enough wind. However, by the time I rigged (which only took about 5 minutes), the wind had filled in to about 16 knots and I was able to get straight on the plane and head out through the small, messy surf. There was one guy out kite-surfing, but he stopped as soon as I got on the water, probably because the wind was picking up. There was also a couple of other people flying foils on the beach.

I had a really good sail, skimming across the warm water, I made every single gybe and came out of most of them planing. Some of them were just SO smooth too, I was loving it. I just wasn't thinking about it at all and it all seemed to work fine and with very little effort I was was just carving around and going back in the opposite direction.

I made quite a few nice, controlled jumps off the rolling swells out the back too. The swells were alos providing perfect 'berms' to carve around on.

The wind continued to pcik up until I was verging on being maxed out towards the end, btu all in all it was a perfect session, well-powered up in easy conditions.
